Other than that, he’s a total loser
Mentioned in Korman Productions Deep Dive TV Podcast: Earth Continues on MGM+ Deep Dive Episode 1 “Alone” with Dave and Stacie (2024). Normally, the first episode would be a decent episode, but it’s not here, which is especially bad considering it’s about a global pandemic that seemingly ends civilization. It’s only been three weeks since he’s been out, judging by what’s been said, but it feels like months, even a year, based on the way everyone talks and acts.
Well, that didn’t last long
It starts off by introducing him as some factual dude who likes to be alone and live off the grid. Judging by the cover photo, what are the chances that when he meets her, she’ll be a strong, independent woman who doesn’t need a man, but he can latch onto her like a lost puppy. I really don’t see how there’s going to be any entertainment here, since there’s barely anyone left and there’s no threat of infected like in 28 Days Later.
I won’t be watching to find out!
This episode is just survivors complaining about being alive. Maybe some textbook slave traders (presumably Christians portrayed to look bad) who want to start a new world order and have to escape them? One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the biggest TV and streaming releases this month.
